News - Discussion Club “Open World”
The ‘Open World’ Discussion Club hosted Daniel WARNER who spoke to young people about new challenges for international relations and problems the countries cannot solve without support from the other countries. The Discussion Club has taken place on June 18th in Kyiv upon initiative of the Arseniy Yatsenyuk ‘Open Ukraine’ Foundation and with the support of Friedrich Ebert Foundation Office in Ukraine. According to the experienced expert of international relations “there are some challenges that go across borders of various countries. That’s why those challenges should be addressed together. This implies co-existence and cooperation between countries for the sake of the common global results”.
The Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s Open Ukraine Foundation initiates informal meeting for youth as part of ‘Open World’ Discussion Club. On June 18th Daniel WARNER, Deputy Director of Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces will speak about what will international relations be like in the nearest future. The meeting will take place with support of Regional Office of Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine.
At the Open World Discussion Club that took place on June 5th in Kyiv and was initiated by Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation, Steven Pifer shared his impressions that "no one in Kyiv or Brussels has a plan B", in case if the Association Agreement is not signed in November of the current year during the Vilnius summit. According to Mr. Pifer, the plan B can be represented as a position of the European Union stating that "although the road is not completed yet, but the EU will be still happy to sign the Agreement provided that Ukraine shows the progress".

On June 5 at 6:30 p.m. the website www.openukraine.org launches webcast of the ‘Open World’ Discussion Club meeting with Steven PIFER, the U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine (1998-2000). The event is initiated by the Arseniy Yatsenyuk ‘Open World’ Foundation.
