Meeting of Open Ukraine Discussion Club with Vitaliy SHABUNIN, renowned expert, Head of the Board of Anticorruption Action Centre
On 19 March upon the initiative of Arseny Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation the Open World Discussion Club was held with renowned Ukrainian diplomat Oleksandr CHALY. At the meeting of the discussion club entitled “Test for Ukrainian Diplomacy” the experienced expert on international relations analyzed possible scenarios of developments in Ukraine and expressed some interesting thoughts:
Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation initiates an informal meeting for young experts and professionals of international relations, students, post-graduates and civic activists with renowned Ukrainian diplomat Oleksandr CHALY. The meeting will be held on March 19, 2014 in Kyiv (Khreschatyk Hotel, conference hall “Volodymyrskiy”, Khreschatyk str.14) at 18:30 (registration starts at 18:00).
Olexander BOGOMOLOV, during the Open World Discussion Club that was held on October 17th in Kyiv at the initiative of Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation, said that the international community faced a big challenge of Syria conflict, the critical issue of which is to ensure human security. “Large numbers of Syrians are dying, children do not get education. The sick do not get treatment. And millions of Syrians seek refuge in other countries. Syria conflict demonstrates failure of the UN system,” highlighted the President of the Centre for Middle East Studies.
The Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation initiates informal meeting for young foreign policy professionals as part of “Open World” Discussion Club. On October 17 at 18.30 (registration starts at 18.00) Mr. Martin Day and Mr. Oleksandr Bogomolov will speak about interesting details of Syrian conflict, possible scenarios of its settlement and impact on Ukraine.
At Open World Discussion Club that was held on October 10th in Kyiv at the initiative of Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation and Regional Representation of Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine, Herta Däubler-Gmelin pointed out that «politicians must be aware that on the international level there is a legal control of their activities». She emphasized that «this is good for their discipline as well as for every citizen».
The Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation in partnership with Representative Office of Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine and Belarus initiates informal meeting for young foreign policy professionals as part of “Open World” Discussion Club. On October 10 Mrs. Herta Däubler-Gmelin will speak about humans in global security.
Christoph Weil during the Discussion Club Open World, which took place on September 26 in Kiev at the initiative of Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation, noted that “the priority for Ukrainian government is the road to reforms. Ukraine must transform, reform the judicial system and the economy. We want to see how civil society and democracy is built in Ukraine.”
Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation initiates an informal meeting for the students, post-graduates and community activists with Christoph Weil, German diplomat and Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ukraine. The meeting will take place 26 September 2013 in Kiev at 18:30 (registration starts at 18:00).
