Ukraine is a future star of the European Union, despite the current government’s decision of this Thursday to suspend the preparations for the signature of the Association Agreement with the EU. This was underscored by Tereziia Yatseniuk, head of the Supervisory Board of Open Ukraine Foundation, in her welcome address at the opening of the 2nd Youth Kyiv Security Forum “Good governance: the only way to the EU”.
On November 22-23, 2013 the Second Youth Security Forum will take place in Kyiv. The Forum will bring together young experts from over 15 countries of the world. The event will be hosted in Kyiv at Riviera Hotel, 15 Sagaydachnogo str. (terrace, floor 7). The Forum’s theme is “Good Governance: the only way to EU?». The Forum will welcome experienced experts from Austria, the UK, Georgia, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Switzerland as well as diplomats and representatives of international organisations in Ukraine (EU, UN, NATO, OSCE, the World Bank and others).
The Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation informs that the policy paper competition for young professionals to win a participation in the 2nd Youth Kyiv Security Forum has been amended with a new topic for essay writing: «Role of constituent elements of good governance on the way to joining the European Union». The deadline to submit essays has been extended to 23 October.
The Arseniy Yatsenyuk Open Ukraine Foundation announces a policy paper competition for young researches and experts. The winners of this contest will be invited to participate in the 2nd Youth Kyiv Security Forum, which will be held on November 15-16, 2013 in Kyiv, Ukraine.
