FACES Art-club invites you to the meeting with Kapranov Brothers

18 September 2014, 11:18

On September, 23rd at 7:00 PM Chasopys Creative Space will host the meeting with Ukrainian writers the Kapranov Brothers as part of the FACES Art Club activities. The authors will present their new program “Love Ukrainian ladies!”

The audience will have the chance to enjoy some kobza rap music: kobza waltz, kobza reggae, kobza bossa nova... The program includes song arrangements of modern poetry by the sex symbol of Ukrainian literature Dmitry Lazutkin, the Bu-Ba-Bu’s undertreasurer Oleksander Irvanets, the Internet legend Sergei Tatchyn, beautiful Marichka Burmaka, and the Kapranovs’ own songs. The brothers gave tribute to the poetry of Taras Shevchenko, turning his “Thoughts, my thoughts” into a kobza blues.

“We have once already taken Sosyura’s poem “Love Ukraine” and adapted into a poem “Love Ukrainian Girls”, which quickly became a hit on the Internet. Today the questions what is Ukraine and what it means to be a Ukrainian are very important. So when Ukrainian men have proven their manliness, the motto “Love Ukrainian Girls” is incredibly timely. Thus we dedicate this kobza rap program to the true Ukrainian men and women”, – explain the Kapranov Brothers.

Location: Lva Tolstogo str, 3 (Chasopys Creative Space). Free entrance.
