The «Open Ukraine» Foundation within the Discussion Club «Open World» invites to the meeting with Member of the European Parliament, Minister of Administration and Digitization of Poland (2011 – 2013), Minister of Labour and Social Policy of Poland (1991) Michal Boni.
Theme of the meeting - «What should Ukraine expect from the EU in 2016? The European Neighbourhood Policy».
During the meeting MEP will tell about The European Neighbourhood Policy, which is aimed at creation of stability zone, peace and prosperity to the south and east of the new borders of the enlarged European Union by establishing close long-term relations with neighboring countries.
Deputy will pay attention to new approaches that EU should elaborate for closer cooperation with Ukraine and express his own views on further steps of Ukraine to speed up integration into European space.
The meeting will take place on Friday 4th December, at 17:00, Taras Shevchenko Boulevard, 36a, 3rd floor, Smartville.

Michal Boni is a Member of the European Parliament, Minister of Administration and Digitization of Poland (2011 – 2013), Minister of Labour and Social Policy of Poland (1991).
From 1992 to 1993 he held the position of the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, where he was responsible, inter alia, for labor market policy. Member of Parliament of the first tenure.
Since 1995, the director of the Social Policy Reform Program at the Stefan Batory Foundation. Councillor of Centrum Commune of the municipal city of Warsaw in 1994-1996. From 1996 to 1997 Director and Member of the Institute of Public Affairs. From 1998 to 2001, the chief advisor to the Minister of Labour and Social Policy. By 2007, Enterprise Investors consultant in the field of human resource management and since 1994 Member of the Scientific Committee of the Community Support Framework for the Evaluation of the National Development Programme and Operational Programmes. Key expert cooperating in shaping of the National Development Plan and the National Action Plan for 2007-2013.
Since January 2008, the Secretary of State in the Prime Minister's Office. He is one of the authors of the «Solidarity across generations 50+», which is designed to help people over 50 return to the labor market.
In 2009 appointed to the office of the Minister – a member of the Council of Ministers and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers. Since 2008 he was the Head of Strategic Advisors to the Prime Minister. Under his leadership the team has conducted a socio-economic evaluation of Poland and has participated in the development of strategic plans of the government. Among some of the most important documents are: «Report on Polish Intellectual Capital», «Returner. Navigation for returning migrants», «Poland 2030. Development Challenges» and «Youth 2011».
Since 01.06.2014 was elected a Member of European Parliament.
Discussion Club «Open World» is an educational project of the «Open Ukraine» Foundation for socially active young people. Its goal is to raise a new generation of responsible leaders. Every month the Foundation holds lectures with renowned experts, politicians and public figures, during which they discuss ways of effective solutions to social problems in Ukraine and in the world.
