Cultural and social initiatives

Culture and an open society are an integral part of the Foundation’s mission. Alongside security and diplomacy, we work in the areas where a nation’s resilience is forged: culture, education and public dialogue.
Over the years, the Foundation has implemented dozens of cultural and social initiatives:
- 'Cultural Horizons' – showcasing contemporary Ukrainian culture abroad; mini-grants for artists to participate in international events.
- 'Open the World' Discussion Club – an open dialogue with ambassadors, heads of international organisations and intellectuals about Ukraine’s place in the world.
- Youth initiatives – the YOUTHINK Youth Council, the ‘Discover Yourself’ project and training programmes to nurture a new generation of leaders.
- 'Art Space of Security' summer school – an educational programme at the intersection of art, culture and security.
- Humanitarian response during the COVID-19 pandemic – 13,000 pairs of gloves, 1,000 FFP3 respirators, over 1,000 test kits, 300 litres of disinfectant and over 200 protective suits for medical staff were donated.
