Volodymyr Ivasyuk Scholarship

Volodymyr Ivasyuk Scholarship was established on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the famous Ukrainian poet and composer Volodymyr Ivasyuk and is the evidence of commemoration and recognition of the outstanding artist.

The scholarship was created with a goal to support talented young people and the development of modern music in Ukraine. Assistance is provided to students of the composers’ department of the theory and composition faculty of the Lviv National Musical Academy named by Mykola Lysenko.

Kazimir Malevich Award

In 2008 Arseniy Yatsenyuk Foundation Open Ukraine joined the initiative of the Polish Institute in Kiev — establishment of K. Malevich Award to mark 130th anniversary of the artist’s birth. Winner of 2009 award was Ukrainian artist Alevtyna Kakhidze received financial support from the Foundation Open Ukraine for the residence at the Center for Contemporary Art "Ujazdów Castle" (Poland).


For the first semester of 2013 academic year the stipend was awarded to Serhiy KORNIYENKO, student of the 5th year of Musicology and Composition Faculty, composition department.

In the first and second semester of 2012 academic year scholarship received Serhiy Kornienko, a 5th year student in the composers’ department of the theory and composition faculty.

Scholarship for the second semester of the 2010-2011 school year received Yuri Seredin, a 5th year student in the composers’ department of the theory and composition faculty.


In the first semester of 2011-2012 academic year scholarship received Parfenyuk Natalia, a 5th year student in the composers’ department of the theory and composition faculty.

In 2010, the receiver of. Volodymyr Ivasyuk grant became a 3rd year student of theoretical composition faculty Ilona Verhivska (class of prof. V. Kaminskiy).

Arseniy Yatsenyuk Foundation Open Ukraine in 2009 awarded Volodymyr Ivasyuk Scholarship to young composer Ivan Pakhota. Ivan is a 4th year student of the composer’s faculty of the Lviv National Musical Academy, Mykola Lysenko, is studying in the class of Myroslav Skorka. The award ceremony of the first recipient took place 4 April, 2009 at the Lviv Regional Philharmonic.
