Children of Emigrants
Implementation of the educational project «Children of Emigrants about Themselves», together with the International Institute of Education, Culture and Relations with Diaspora of the Lviv National Polytechnic University. The project organizers held eight roundtables on «Contemporary Emigration: Problems of Social and National Orphanage» in Kyiv, Lviv, Ternopil, Uzhgorod, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Odessa
Analysis of the roundtables revealed a number of problems of social and psychological nature among children, whose parents went for work abroad. Such children are the most vulnerable for getting involved into different asocial groups. In 2010 we are planning to organise leisure of such children: a contest has been conducted, by results of which a pilot project will start work on social and psychological aid for children of labour migrants in one of the Ukraine regions with the biggest amount of labour migrants.
